About the fest

Discover the power of independent cinema at the Melbourne Live Indie Film Fest. Our bi-annual festival showcases the creativity and originality of independent filmmakers from around the world, providing a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work and connect with audiences and industry professionals.

Why Us

What sets our festival apart is our focus on promoting you and your work. Cinema is about engaging with the community and having meaningful conversations. That's why we host Q&A sessions with filmmakers, panel discussions, and networking events that bring audiences and artists together. It's an opportunity for you to discover new perspectives and build lasting connections.

At the Melbourne Live Indie Film Fest, we're committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in independent cinema. We welcome submissions from filmmakers of all backgrounds and prioritize films that feature diverse stories, characters, and perspectives. Our festival is a celebration of independent voices, and we believe that every story deserves to be told.
